Trash and Recycling Update

The town of Madison has discontinued trash pick up, so Docken Management solicited bids from Waste Management, Green Valley, and Pelliterri. A reasonable contract was negotiated with Green Valley.

Beginning January 1, all recyclables (paper, plastic, glass, metal) go into the same recycling bin. You will see 2 bins: one for trash and one for recyclables.

December Update

The Board of Directors and Docken Management were busy this summer and fall!

• Many of you benefited from the new sidewalks and stoops which will prevent ice build-up this winter.
• Most of the brick or stone on buildings and fences have been power washed to remove stains and graffiti.
• Patio dividers and split rail fences have been repaired.
• Leaves were removed from gutters and many have been repaired or replaced.
• Roofs were checked for damage and chimneys recaulked or replaced as needed.
• Balcony structural repairs were completed for units 1-36
• Landscaping, flower planting, and tree trimming have continued as an ongoing project.
• Shrub trimming has been completed.
• Restriping fo the parking lots has been completed.
• The Sherman building was power washed and insulated.
